Vacation

I got back last night from a vacation in North Carolina. My family stayed in a cabin in Franklin which is about 20 minutes from everywhere beautiful. We hiked, rode some trails on horseback, fished, slid down giant rocks into freezing cold streams, and had some great family time. The scenery in NC is absolutely beautiful and breath taking. While hiking some of the trails, I became very aware of how God is very awesome. He made these waterfalls, the rocks, the sunsets, and the mountains all to seen by me but to bring Glory to Him. I just want to thank the Lord for making such beautiful creations. I felt so close to him this week and it was amazing.

Little people are precious

I met two pretty amazing little people today!  My friend Mandy and her husband Lenon adopted  2 year old twins earlier this year.  I haven’t had the opportunity to meet these little ones due to distance and other crazy circumstances.  However, today was the day.  Let me just say that Mikah and Mikade are beautiful and perfect!  I fell in love with them right away.  They are two of the sweetest kids.  We had a big family reunion with two additions.  I hadn’t seen Mandy in over a year but we didn’t skip a beat!  Another friend of  ours was here too, Cristee.  These two girls are great and definitely hold a special place in my heart.  We may not get to see each other very often but its kinda like an old shoe, always fits just right and is comfortable.  I had a awesome time today and look forward to many memories with Mikah and Mikade.

I had a little accident…oops!

As you can see, I am clumsy.  I got into a fight with a bench at work today.  I was picking up a padded bench (the ones you sit on in a kid’s playground) and as you can guess, I dropped it right across my toes.  I thought I had broken my two first toes but luckily I didn’t. I did however bruise the tendons across my toes…OUCH!  I get to wear this nice little attractive bootie shoe thing for a week.  It definitely goes with all of my outfits.  Just thought you should know how clumsy I am.
